We recently conferred the SPI Power Student Math Olympiad Award to one of our Power Student scholars, Ms Alcherika T. Badal for her exemplary achievements in the field of Mathematics – winning Gold Medal in the Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad (TIMO)-Heat Round competition and for representing the Philippines, along with other Philippine delegates, to the TIMO Final Round last February 20 to 24, 2025 in Chiang Mai, Thailand where she took the exam online and finished with a sterling Silver Award.
Aside from the Philippines and Thailand, 14 other countries participated in the TIMO Finals: Australia, Brazil, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hongkong, Bulgaria, and India.
Ms Badal’s success not only exemplifies excellence in Mathematics but also inspires young minds to embrace and unleash their innate power to learn and excel.
