Infrastructure development in Villanueva is expected to improve following the acquisition recently by the local government of Villanueva of a road roller and a backhoe for its various infra projects. The LGU Villanueva acquired the equipment worth PhP 11 million using its share in the ER 1-94 funds of power-producer STEAG State Power Inc. (SPI).  To date, about PHP 42 million worth of projects have been supported so far by the Steag ER 1-94 funds in Villanueva. These include the installation of the Villanueva waterworks system, the electrification of six (6) unenergized sitios, and the establishment of a firebricks-making project.
