SPI Power Celebrates the 2025 National Disaster Resilience Month

In support of the National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM 2025) with the theme “Northern Mindanao: Kumilos Para sa Kahandaan, Kaligtasan, at Katatagan,” SPI Power Incorporated joins the Office of Civil Defense Region 10 and the Municipality of Villanueva Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) in promoting disaster awareness, preparedness, and resilience.

As part of this month-long observance, SPI Power is launching a series of activities designed to enhance employees’  capacity for disaster risk reduction and business continuity. These initiatives highlight the company’s unwavering commitment for the safety and well-being of employees, stakeholders, and surrounding communities.

Among the planned activities are:

  • A site-wide Emergency Evacuation Drill to ensure swift and orderly response during emergencies.
  • Awareness Seminars on Disaster Preparedness to equip employees with practical knowledge and skills.
  • A First Aid and Basic Life Support Refresher Course for quick and effective medical response.
  • A Risk Communication and Preparedness Workshop to improve crisis coordination and response.
  • A Disaster Resilience Photo Contest with the theme “Disaster Resilience,” showcasing creative expressions of readiness and recovery.
  • The fun and engaging REELSILIENCY Contest, encouraging innovative ways to promote resilience.
  • A Tree Planting and Clean-Up Drive, reinforcing the connection between environmental stewardship and disaster prevention.
  • A Daily Safety & Preparedness Trivia Challenge to keep preparedness top-of-mind.
  • Participation in the Villanueva Fire Olympics, fostering camaraderie and practical skills among local response teams.

We encourage all employees to actively participate in all activities starting this July to August. Specific schedules will be shared through a separate advisory.

Through our collective efforts, we aim to promote unity, proactive action, and a culture of safety—towards a more resilient and disaster-ready SPI.
