SPI Conducts HACCP Training to Enhance Food Safety Standards

SPI’s administration department organized recently a one-day Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) held at the power plant’s IEC Hall. The session aims to enhance the food safety knowledge and skills of SPI and outsourced personnel from the Wellness Café, facilities maintenance, housekeeping, and clinic.

The Administration department of SPI manages the Wellness Café and caters to all food-related needs of the plant. Thus, the training is important for maintaining the quality and safety of meals provided to employees and staff.

The course focuses on implementing high food safety standards, identifying foodborne illnesses, and fostering a culture of safety in line with HACCP guidelines and was conducted by Riyah Cabigting, an accredited Safety and Health Consultant from PEME Consultancy.

This initiative underscores SPI’s commitment to maintaining the highest safety and hygiene standards in its processes and operations.
