SPI’s second unit successfully synchronized to the Mindanao grid at about 8:05 AM Monday, 19 August 2019, following completion of its maintenance works since 27 July 2019. The unit came online some 2.6 days ahead of the 21 August 2019 target. With this development, the entire power plant facility is now fully operational and powering up the Mindanao grid.

On 9 August 2019, SPI’s unit 1 also went online 2.4 days ahead of the target schedule after the successful completion of its planned maintenance works since 17 July 2019.
