Showcasing PIE-MO as a promising investment destination

SPI welcomed delegates from Brunei Darussalam, led by Md Rahimin Abd Aziz and Mr. Zakaria Abdul Aziz, during their recent visit to the PHIVIDEC Industrial Estate in Misamis Oriental. The visit aimed to explore business and investment opportunities in the area. The Brunei delegation was accompanied by local officials from Zamboanga Sibugay, headed by Governor Ann Hofer, and the management team of the PHIVIDEC Industrial Authority, led by Administrator Atty. Cid Bernedo.

During the visit, SPI showcased its current best business practices and shared its positive experiences as one of the foreign direct investors in the region. This effort aimed to boost confidence in the opportunities at PIE-MO, aligning with ongoing initiatives to strengthen trade and business relations within the Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines-East ASEAN Growth Area.

Administrator Bernedo commended SPI for its continuous support of PHIVIDEC and applauded the company for demonstrating sterling business performance as a reliable and responsible electric power producer in Mindanao. PIA and SPI look forward to strengthened collaboration, enhanced economic ties between the Philippines and Brunei Darussalam, and more investments pouring into the PHIVIDEC Industrial Estate in Misamis Oriental.
