Promoting understanding and greater collaboration

SPI recently welcomed barangay officials and workers of San Martin, Villanueva, Misamis Oriental, for an insightful educational visit to the Mindanao Power Plant.

The activity provided a valuable opportunity for the barangay officials to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the power plant’s operational efficiency and how it ensures social and environmental compatibility. It also facilitated a constructive dialogue between the community representatives and SPI, promoting mutual understanding and cooperation.

This initiative is part of SPI’s continuing Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) program aimed at informing and engaging in meaningful dialogue with the local community. Through such initiatives, SPI aims to strengthen its bonds with the community, ensure transparency, and promote sound environmental stewardship.
