Nurturing Green Leaders: The 2024 Mapawa Environmental Immersion

Fifty youth leaders from Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, and Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental recently took part in the 2024 Mapawa Environmental Immersion held at SPI’s Carbon Sink Project in Mapawa, Cugman, Cagayan de Oro City.

The event, themed “Empowering the Youth for a Greener Future,” aimed to engage and educate young leaders on the importance of environmental conservation. This immersive experience fostered leadership qualities among the participants while instilling a profound appreciation for nature through informative sessions and engaging team-building exercises.

The activity was a collaborative effort between SPI, HEDCOR, and the MENROs of Tagoloan and Manolo Fortich. Together, we nurture the next generation of environmental stewards committed to creating a sustainable future.
