Learning from SPI’s current best practices on coal ash management

Barangay leaders of Nipa, Concepcion, Iloilo learn from SPI’s current best practices on coal ash management during a recent visit to the power plant. Brgy. Nipa is the host community of the 135MW coal-fired power plant operated by Palm Concepcion Power Corporation (PCPC). SPI’s existing practices have been recognized as one of the models of an environmentally and socially responsible ash management system and by-product utilization for various community development projects.
