Gearing up for operational resilience

SPI recently organized a strategic planning workshop to strengthen SPI’s operational resilience in 2024 and beyond.

Members of SPI’s Incident Management Team (IMT) and Department Business Continuity Management (DBCM) came together for this event.

Among the activity’s highlights were the comprehensive & insightful presentations by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officers, Mr. Norman Ricacho and Mr. Jonathan del Rosario, both from Villanueva and Tagoloan, respectively. Their presentations provided valuable insights for SPI in aligning its business continuity plans with community resilience efforts, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and synergy.

Mr. Neil Quijano, SPI RESSH Manager, also presented emerging challenges and risks and how these can be proactively addressed. He also led participants in revisiting their roles and responsibilities as members of the IMT and DBCM. The activity likewise delved into practical exercises, including the “plan now” workshop, to enhance preparedness and response capabilities. Participants actively identified critical areas for improvement and developed innovative and responsive Business Continuity Management programs for 2024.

SPI thanks Mr. Norman Ricacho and Mr. Jonathan del Rosario, MDRRMO Officers of Villanueva & Tagoloan, for their invaluable contributions and to all participants for their active involvement in the activity.
