Environmental Immersion

Students from Xavier University’s Arts and Science Department recently took part in an environmental immersion activity at the SPI Carbon Sink Project in Mapawa, Cagayan de Oro City.

This endeavor was designed to hone leadership skills while instilling a profound appreciation and care for the environment. Through a series of engaging lectures, immersive environmental treks, and tree-planting exercises, the activity inspired participants to take a more proactive role in environmental protection.

Mapawa is host to SPI’s 1,200-hectare carbon sink project.
