SPI’s Incident Management Team (IMT) convene recently for a Forum and Planning Workshop held at the Mindanao Power Plant.
The morning session featured key presentations from Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (MDRRM) Officers Mr. Aileen Jabinao of Villanueva and Mr. Agustini Padugangan of Tagoloan. The officers presented their respective MDRRM plans and programs, highlighting existing capabilities and services while identifying current challenges, emerging threats, and opportunities for inter-agency collaboration and synergy.
Adding to the discussions, SFO2 Donald Galisa of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) of Villanueva provided a comprehensive briefing on emergency response coordination. His presentation offered valuable insights into strengthening inter-agency support mechanisms during disaster situations.
In the afternoon session, REHSS Manager Mr. Neil Quijano presented the Annual Training Program, which included a review of scheduled drills and exercises, as well as preparations for the upcoming Multi-Hazard Exercise. The session equipped participants with practical knowledge and strategic guidance to effectively respond to a range of emergency scenarios.
The workshop encouraged active participation, allowing members to share insights, identify gaps, and propose improvements. It reinforced the group’s commitment to stronger, more coordinated emergency preparedness and response.
