Villanueva, Misamis Oriental Mayor Jennie Rosalie Uy-Mendez led the launching of the handwashing advocacy campaign following the turn-over of electronically-operated mobile handwashing stations provided by SPI.

The project, which is also supported by the Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines (IECEP), aims to promote handwashing as one of the most effective ways of preventing the spread of COVID-19.

The mobile handwashing stations, which feature a hands-free control system, will be strategically distributed in various areas in Villanueva.
