Boosting Equipment Reliability through Specialized Lubrication Training

A three-day specialized training on industrial lubrication and oil analysis was recently conducted, equipping 25 personnel from the Maintenance and Operations Department and the TSMH Coal-Handling Section with essential skills to enhance equipment performance and reliability.

The training was facilitated by Mr. Ralph Marlo Poblete of CRE Philippines, who guided participants through key principles of lubrication management and oil analysis.

Combining theoretical discussions with practical insights applicable to plant operations, the program aims to strengthen participants’ foundational knowledge of industrial lubricants while supporting the development of a more robust and reliable oil analysis program. By addressing existing gaps in lubrication practices, the training seeks to minimize the risk of equipment failure and unplanned downtime.

As part of the initiative, six participants are set to take the ICML MLA I Certification Exam, marking a step toward professional certification in machinery lubrication analysis.

Organized by SPI’s Human Resource Department, the training aligns with the company’s commitment to proactive maintenance strategies. By improving lubrication practices, the initiative is expected to enhance equipment reliability, reduce maintenance costs, and contribute to more efficient and uninterrupted operations.
