Supporting Local Development Initiatives through ER 1-94 Funds

SPI Chief Operating Officer and Power Plant Manager Dr. Carsten Evers, led the SPI team in the recent turnover of a ₱7.2-million check to Mayor Julio T. Uy of the Local Government Unit of Villanueva, representing the municipality’s share in the Energy Regulation (ER) 1-94 Livelihood and Development Funds.

The funds will be utilized to support priority local initiatives, including the promotion of livelihood opportunities, improvements in road and drainage systems, and the acquisition of heavy equipment to further strengthen the LGU’s capacity to deliver essential infrastructure projects.

Since 2006, SPI Power Incorporated has remitted over ₱78 million under the ER 1-94 Developmental Livelihood Fund (DLF) and Reforestation, Watershed Management, Health and Environment Enhancement Fund (RWMHEEF) components.

This milestone underscores the company’s continuing commitment and long-standing partnership with the LGU of Villanueva in advancing sustainable development, environmental stewardship, and inclusive community progress.
