SPI Power Incorporated proudly celebrates a significant milestone as 67 women from the municipalities of Villanueva and Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental completed the one-month online training under the Elevate AIDA (Artificial Intelligence and Data Annotation) Program — marking a pivotal step in building digitally empowered and future-ready communities.
The Elevate AIDA Program equips women with in-demand digital skills in data annotation and related support roles in the growing AI industry. These skills open up new avenues for remote work and flexible income-generating opportunities — all accessible from the comfort of their homes.
The graduation ceremony held in SPI’s Mindanao Power Plant showcased the inspiring journeys of women who, through the program, are now better prepared to engage in the global digital economy.
“This is not just a graduation. It is a celebration of opportunity, empowerment, and hope,” said SPI Plant Manager, Dr. Carsten Evers. “By investing in these women, we invest in the progress of the entire communities.”
The program was made possible through the strong collaboration among SPI Power, Aboitiz Foundation, Inc., Connected Women, and the local governments of Villanueva and Tagoloan. It is implemented under SPI’s Livelihood and Economic Enterprise Development (LEED) Program, which aims to uplift communities through inclusive and sustainable livelihood initiatives.
