Sharing Knowledge and Experiences: SPI Welcomes Pagbilao Team

SPI recently welcomed the Maintenance Team from Pagbilao Power Plant for a benchmarking visit focused on knowledge sharing and learning from SPI’s current best practices in plant operations and maintenance.

SPI Deputy Plant Manager Melvin Alvarez led in receiving the team, joined by Maintenance Head Garick Ganas, along with TSMH’s Vince Datar and COMREL’s Jerome Soldevilla. The visit provided an opportunity for both teams to exchange insights and experiences, strengthening alignment across the Aboitiz Power (AP) Transition Business Group.

The Pagbilao team was impressed by SPI’s operational performance, the cleanliness and orderliness of the facility, and its maintenance systems. They also visited the Villanueva Fire Bricks Making Project, a local community livelihood initiative supported by SPI in partnership with the LGU.

The visit highlighted the value of collaboration and continuous improvement, reinforcing AP’s commitment to operational excellence and shared learning among its power-generating assets.
