Fifty young leaders mostly from different Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) in Misamis Oriental and Bukidnon attend this year’s Mapawa Environmental Youth Camp. The activity was jointly sponsored by energy-firms STEAG State Power Inc. (SPI) and Aboitiz Power Corporation and facilitated by EMB Region 10. With the theme“Kabataan: Sagip Kalikasan, Sagip Buhay,” the activity aims to instill among the youth love and respect for nature through conservation and protection of the environment. The two-day camp was held at the Mapawa Nature Park in Cugman, Cagayan de Oro City, where the 1,200-hectare STEAG-sponsored carbon sink project is also located.
