Commemorating Arbor Day

SPI employees recently joined the DENR-led Bike.Hike.Plant 2023. Held SPI’s 1,200-hectare Carbon Project in Mapawa, Cugman, Cagayan de Oro City, the activity marked the celebration of the 160th Year of the Philippine Forestry Service and Arbor Day. Arbor Day serves as a secular day of observance, encouraging individuals and groups to contribute to tree-planting efforts.

This year, 160 participants from diverse stakeholders and offices came together, planting approximately 500 seedlings of Narra, Molave, and Kalomata. Let’s continue to nurture our environment and ensure a greener, more sustainable future!
