To help increase further immunity and protection against Covid-19, SPI conducted recently the booster shot vaccination using the Pfizer-Covid-19 vaccine at the Mindanao Power Plant. Some 132 workers and employees received their booster doses.

The vaccination was administered by the Municipal Health Office (MHO) of the LGU Villanueva, and is part of the government’s campaign to increase the community’s wall of immunity against the virus.

The Department of Health (DOH) said that while having the two primary doses of a Covid-19 vaccine could provide added protection, especially against severe disease, a booster dose will make sure the protection from the first two doses is even stronger and longer lasting.
